A lifelong commitment to service

East Lake Health & Wellness, Inc. was born from a lifelong commitment to serving others.

For more than three decades, Marie and Adler Labossiere have dedicated their lives to caring for individuals, families, seniors, and vulnerable populations through healthcare, education, and community service. Throughout those years, they witnessed a common challenge: many chronic health conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension, can often be prevented or better managed through education, early intervention, and healthy lifestyle choices.

In addition to their work in healthcare, Marie and Adler Labossiere have long been committed to education, service, and community empowerment. Through the success of Betty's Homes & Health Services, Marie and Adler established The New Enlightenment Foundation, an initiative dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for underserved youth. Using personal resources, the foundation sponsored the education of 25 students in Haiti, helping them pursue studies in universities, nursing schools, vocational programs, and other professional training opportunities.

Today, many of these students have successfully completed their education and are contributing to their communities through meaningful careers and service. This experience reinforced a lifelong belief that education has the power to transform lives, strengthen families, and create lasting opportunities.

As healthcare professionals, they recognized that improving community health requires more than medical treatment. It requires education, support, access to resources, and meaningful connections within the community.

Inspired by this vision, East Lake Health & Wellness was established to help bridge the gap between healthcare and community wellness. The organization seeks to provide health education, wellness initiatives, screenings, community outreach, and programs that empower individuals to take an active role in their health and well-being.

The name “East Lake” represents our commitment to the community we serve and our belief that healthier communities are built through compassion, education, prevention, and service.

Today, East Lake Health & Wellness continues to grow through partnerships, volunteerism, and community engagement. Our goal is simple: to help individuals and families live healthier lives while fostering a culture of wellness, dignity, and hope.

Dr. Marie Labossiere is an entrepreneur and Nurse Practitioner with a deep-seated passion for serving her community.

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and now residing in Sorrento, Florida, Marie has built a remarkable career spanning multiple areas of healthcare while maintaining a strong commitment to her Christian faith and family.

Dr. Labossiere’s journey in the United States began at Bowen High School in Chicago, Illinois. She later graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, New York, and began her nursing career in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She continued her nursing education at Miami Regional University, earning a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and becoming certified through AANP. Her dedication to lifelong learning led her to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Administration from Miami Regional University, further strengthening her expertise in healthcare leadership.

Beyond her academic achievements, Dr. Labossiere has embraced her entrepreneurial spirit. With the unwavering support of her family and alongside her husband, Dr. Adler Labossiere, she is a proud co-owner of Ady’s Marketplace, LLC—a venture reflecting her business acumen and commitment to providing quality products and services to the community. She is also a co-owner of Betty’s Homes & Health Services, Inc., where she and her team provide essential healthcare and residential support services to people in need.

Her heart for service is further demonstrated through her role as Founder of The New Enlightenment Foundation, an organization dedicated to uplifting and empowering individuals overseas through education and support. Dr. Labossiere also holds a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University, equipping her with additional tools to support clients and community members.

“Her journey has included trials and tribulations, yet she remains steadfast in her pursuit of helping people who may not be able to help themselves.”

Despite her busy schedule, Dr. Labossiere remains grounded by her love for the Lord, which she expresses through her actions and the way she conducts her life and businesses. She attributes much of her success to her faith; the support of her spouse, with whom she shares a loving and supportive marriage; her two sons; and her late parents.

Her newest healthcare venture, Plymouth-Sorrento Medical Center, brings this passion for healthcare and community service even closer to home. Dr. Marie and Dr. Adler Labossiere opened the primary care clinic in Sorrento, Florida, to provide essential medical care and support, especially to residents of Lake County. Dr. Labossiere and her team welcome the community with personalized care and a friendly environment where every person feels heard and valued.
